So people make a lot of jokes about how the short-cut Blaine takes Kurt on in Never Been Kissed clearly isn’t a short-cut. But I was just reminded of his 15-seconds-less short cut through the cafeteria in Guilty Pleasures and now I think clearly it was a short cut, just one that was so much less shorter than the direct route no one other than Blaine would ever bother with it.
Blaine is just so… Blaine-ish. I can’t even.

I screamed when this scene aired. The easy flirting, the sexy subtext—so yummy. I remember thinking, “Oh, I know what they did this summer!”
And there’s Dalton Blaine, and I just LOVE Dalton Blaine, and…
Oh! I just now realized why I REALLY loved this scene so much. I mean, just now, right this second—it’s because this is how envisioned SLY Kurt and Blaine and their banter, as they danced around each other, and the truth about how they felt… sigh.

You know what I just realized? Pav is sort of like the canary in the coal mine. He croaks, which sets off the series of events that has first Kurt and then Blaine leaving Dalton. A few months later in swoops Sebastian and later Hunter.
Pav let everyone know the air was about to get poisonous and they should run for the surface world.
